Our temporary roadway is used for lots of different purposes within each sector, we seek fulfilment in the variation and knowledge gained from each job.
We are committed to the industry and are proud to be the UK’s leading independent supplier of temporary roadways. We are always looking for ways to be more efficient and to refine our craft. So much so, that we have added two new industry pioneering trucks, to our fleet. These are a brand-new 26t Volvo 480HP Globetrotter and a Scania R460, offering a safer and more efficient method of on-site manoeuvring.
We’re pioneering in the temporary roadway hire industry
Our new technology allows us to drive to sites as normal, setup ready to lay or retrieve the Trackway at the rear of the truck using the lorry-mounted Palfinger Epsilon Q150Z and SMC Trackway Clamp, and then engage a hydrostatic system via a remote drive control unit.
We are able to stand at the rear of the truck with the aid of a banksman and a monitor with views from all angles, before making moves via the Scanreco remote control that is also used to control the lorry loader. Operators can control the truck remotely whilst providing the best possible management and supervision of surroundings. This saves our team 100’s of trips in and out of the cab!
In addition to this, our trucks are also fitted with on-board welfare units containing kitchen, shower, toilet and drying room facilities. For long installs, out in harsh conditions, in rural areas, this helps to keep staff morale high and jobs completed to the best standard.
Where to start with assessing temporary roadway requirements
We supply portable road and associated equipment to create access over soft or unstable ground. We can join our portable roadway panels together to form roads and set down areas in whatever size or configuration is required.
We assess every site individually to determine the right type and amount of equipment required to achieve our customer’s goal. We then send our team of highly trained and experienced installation engineers to the site, equipped with the very best tools, trucks and equipment. With multiple depots throughout the UK and an ever-expanding stockholding, we can be on site within 24 hours of your initial enquiry.
We are on hand to give our expertise on what ground protection your site needs and make you aware of other suitable components. You could call for a construction vehicle access road but we may also see that temporary pedestrian access and even car park matting are recommended too.
