Leon Boorer steps into new BDM Role at Davis Trackhire
We’re pleased to announce that Leon Boorer is taking on a new role as Trainee Business Development Manager at Davis Trackhire, marking an exciting next step in his career with us.
Leon joined our team in January 2025 as a Driver’s Mate and has since become a valued part of the business. His move into the sales department is a great example of the career development opportunities we offer at Davis Trackhire and our commitment to recognising and developing talent from within.
Building a career from the ground up
During his time with us, Leon has gained valuable hands-on experience across our operations, building an understanding of our trackway products, how we work and the practical challenges our customers face on site.
That experience will give him a strong foundation as he begins his journey into business development. Having started out in an operational role, Leon now has the opportunity to take that knowledge into the sales department, developing his commercial understanding, customer relationship skills and ability to identify new business opportunities.
He’ll be following a structured training and development path, working closely with our sales team to gain experience, expand his product knowledge and build the skills needed to progress in his new role.

I can’t wait to get started on this journey, contribute to the continued success of the team and hopefully put my experience out on the road to good use as an asset to the business.”
Investing in our people
At Davis Trackhire, we believe our people are one of our biggest strengths. As a growing, family-run business, investing in our team and creating opportunities for long-term career progression is something we take seriously.
We want our employees to have the opportunity to develop their skills, take on new challenges and build a career with us. Progression doesn’t have to follow a traditional route, and Leon’s move from an operational role into business development is a great example of this.
Whether someone joins us in a driving, operational or office-based position, we want them to see the opportunities available as they grow with the business.
We’re looking forward to supporting Leon in his new role and seeing how he develops as part of our sales team.
It’s great to see his hard work and commitment recognised, and we’re excited to have him take this next step with us.
His knowledge of our operations, products and the challenges our customers face on site will provide a great foundation as he develops his skills in business development, customer relationship management and identifying new opportunities for the business.
I’m delighted to welcome him to the sales team and look forward to working closely with him as he continues his development journey at Davis Trackhire. I’m confident he’ll be a great addition to the team and look forward to seeing him thrive in his new role.”
