When Davis Trackhire were contacted by a leading Geotechnical Site Investigation contractor we were tasked with not only supplying a temporary haul road across a remote marshland in Nottinghamshire, but also installing a large pad area for the drilling rig to sit on.

After conducting an in-depth site survey to ascertain the client’s exact access requirements and build schedule, as well as assessing the ground conditions on site, it was immediately apparent that Davis’ heavy-duty aluminium DTH Panels would be required to facilitate the transportation of the drilling rig across the soft ground.

Using our new state-of-the-art hydraulic clamp hiab, our two-man crew took just a day and a half to install the 212 DTH Panels needed to create the haul road and pad area, while also leaving a 7.2sq/m space in the centre of the pad to allow the drilling works to be carried out over a period of 12 weeks.
