Davis Trackhire renews sponsorship of boxer Sam “Tricky” Hickey

Professional boxer Sam “Tricky” Hickey is preparing for his next fight at London’s Copper Box Arena on 7th November, and we’re delighted to announce that we’ve renewed our sponsorship of the rising star for another 12 months.

It’s an exciting time for Sam, who recently signed with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing and continues to make his mark in the professional ranks. Following impressive performances in the ring, he’s building momentum in his career, and our team at Davis Trackhire is looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Who is Sam “Tricky” Hickey?

Originally from Dundee, Sam is a talented Scottish boxer who has enjoyed success at both amateur and professional level. He won gold in the middleweight division at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where he was also named Best Male Boxer of the Games, and claimed bronze at the 2022 European Championships.

Since turning professional in 2024, Sam has continued to develop his career, with his signing to Zuffa Boxing in 2026 marking a significant next step. His performances have attracted growing attention, and he’s now working towards establishing himself among the leading names in British boxing.

Boxing demands commitment, discipline and resilience, with success built through consistent hard work over time. These are qualities we admire, and we’re proud to support Sam as he continues to pursue his ambitions.

A sponsorship built on long-standing family ties

Our sponsorship of Sam is particularly special to us, as he and his family have been close family friends for decades. For Blake and Travis, this is about more than supporting a promising athlete. It’s about backing someone they know personally and being part of his journey as he works towards the next stage of his career.

At Davis Trackhire, we understand the value of commitment, hard work and building strong relationships. These principles are important to how we work as a team, so being able to support Sam as he develops his career feels like a natural fit. We’re pleased to continue backing him for another year and to see the opportunities opening up for him.

“We are delighted to be able to continue to support top prospect Sam Hickey, having renewed our sponsorship with him for another 12 months. Sam and his family have been family friends of ours for decades and we are really excited about what the future holds for him. He has really shown how special he is in his last two fights, and we think this is just the beginning for him. Everyone at Davis Trackhire is excited to watch his next fight in London this November.”

Sam also shared his thanks for the continued support:

“A big thank you to Blake and Travis for another year of support. To have people who know me and have been friends of the family for so long backing me means a lot. That kind of support goes a long way, and I really appreciate it. Looking forward to getting back in the ring on November 7th and putting on another good performance.”
