In memory of Jason Hedley (17.07.1992 – 06.12.2025)

On 6th December 2025 the Davis Trackhire family suffered a truly devastating loss with the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Jason Hedley.

Jason joined Davis Trackhire in 2021 as a Senior Driver/Operator and quickly progressed to the role of Project Engineer, bringing skill, dedication, and a genuine passion to every project he undertook. Throughout his career, Jason became widely respected for his deep knowledge of portable roadway systems, his meticulous attention to detail, and his unwavering commitment to safety and quality. He approached every challenge with a solution-focused mindset, ensuring projects were completed efficiently and to the highest standard, and his contributions played a lasting meaningful role in shaping our team and the projects we deliver.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jason was known for his warmth, humour, and ability to connect with people. Colleagues often recall his quick wit and infectious laughter, which could brighten even the most challenging days. He had a rare gift for turning everyday moments into shared smiles and camaraderie, and his energy and enthusiasm left a lasting mark on all who worked with him.

Jason’s contribution to Davis Trackhire and the wider industry was significant, but it is his professionalism, integrity, and friendship that we will miss most. His knowledge, dedication, and passion for his work set a standard for all of us, and his memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eulogies from Jason’s Davis Trackhire colleagues

Jay, I was lucky to have met you, happy to know you and Proud to call you my friend, if only I knew how to deal with the sadness of losing you.

I personally only had the pleasure of meeting Jason a handful of times, however on these occasions I was met by a genuine happy cheeky chap!

Since his passing I have heard so many funny stories and encounters of Jason and his huge personality during his time at Davis Track Hire all remembered fondly by his close working friends and colleagues. His absence will have a huge impact on his team and will be sadly missed all.

Thinking of all those who loved him dearly.
Gillian
Jason was a much-loved colleague who was taken from us far too soon.

He spent a good bit of time in Scotland covering holidays for his Scottish counterparts & loved it here (So he told us)! Whenever he visited, he brought a smile that instantly lifted everyone around him. His cheeky, childlike sense of humour kept us all laughing, as did his big booming laugh, (may I add, laughing at most of his own jokes) memories we will always treasure.

He was truly adored by the team & customers alike, not just for his work, but for the warmth, kindness, and laughter he shared so freely. His presence made a lasting impression, and his absence will be felt by everyone.

Thoughts are with his family and friends & colleagues at this difficult time. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Margaret
Farewell my brother.

My working day was always so much brighter when you were sat across the office from me, or working a trade show with me.

I’ll forever miss your childish humour and your stupid, infectious laugh. I’ll forever miss your presence.

Love you mate.
Rob
Jason taught me things he probably never realized, how to be kinder, how to show up, how to find light even when things are heavy. I wish we had more time. More conversations. More laughs. More chances to say thank you ,But what we were given was real, and it was beautiful. I’ll remember you forever brother.
Chris
Jason was one of the funniest guys I ever met. He was one in a million – fly high brother miss you loads x.

I had the pleasure of being Jason’s drivers mate when he first came on board at Davis Trackhire. It was always a pleasure to work alongside Jason as he was a great colleague that turned into a great friend. He will be sorely missed by many. May he rest in eternal peace.

Today I am remembering Jason – a friend and a workmate who brought so much laughter into everyone’s life. You always had a smile on your face and a way of making everyone around you feel at ease. You loved a joke, but more than that, you loved sharing a laugh – and your laugh was impossible to ignore. Even when a joke didn’t quite land, hearing you laugh would have everyone else laughing along with you.

You had an infectious personality and a genuine warmth that made you a joy to be around. You could turn an ordinary workday into something brighter, and our workplace will never feel the same without you here. You weren’t just someone we worked with – you were someone we were lucky to know, a friend, a colleague.

Jason you will be deeply missed by all who knew you, but the laughter, kindness, and good memories you have left behind will stay with us always.

In 14 years of knowing Jason he became a real shining light. Someone who I would turn too to lighten my day.

He could turn any frown upside down with his infectious laugh and a smile that would light up any room.

Me and Jason first set out as industry trainee companions many moons ago that became great friends which turned to family.

A lovable rogue who shines bright! and I know whenever I need guidance, I will look up to the brightest star in the nights sky.
Mitch
I think everyone will agree Jason was one in a million, there will never be another Jason! I’ve never met anyone so quick witted and funny! No one was safe around him! It doesn’t matter how bad the job was he would always find a way to lighten the mood and make everyone laugh! There will forever be an empty void without him here.

Until we meet again mate. Rest in peace.
Matt
I’ve known Jason for the best part of 15 years and even when you couldn’t see him you could hear him laughing. A character complete with humour and laughter he lit up every room he walked into. I can also recall a prank war with Jason where I came back from working away and he had completely dismantled my push bike and tie wrapped the parts around the canteen area, which resulted in me covering his car in mustard – which we both found hilarious.

He will be missed by anyone that ever had the pleasure of being his presence. Miss you brother.
Ben
We were very saddened to hear the news about Jason’s passing.

He was a great presence on site – full of stories, quick with a laugh, and brilliant to work with. Jason played a key role in the early days of EWR getting your equipment set up on site, and he always carried himself with true professionalism. His loss has come as a real shock to all of us.

I can only imagine how difficult things are in the office right now. Please know that our thoughts are with you and the team, and we hope you’re all managing as well as possible during this incredibly hard time.
